About Real Font Finder

Real Font Finder was built to solve a simple problem: finding fonts from images shouldn't be locked behind aggressive paywalls or daily quotas.

As designers and developers, we constantly run into situations where a client provides a flattened logo, or we see a beautiful piece of typography in a poster, and we need to know what font it is.

Existing tools are often frustrating. They cap you at 3 searches per day, use outdated client-side heuristics that fail on custom lettering, or immediately try to upsell you to a subscription.

Our Approach

We decided to build a better tool. Real Font Finder uses a server-side AI vision model that actually understands letterforms — stroke weight, terminal shapes, x-heights, and kerning. It doesn't just look for exact matches; it understands typographic characteristics.

• Free Alternatives Built-in: If you scan a commercial font like Proxima Nova, we instantly tell you what free Google Font (like Montserrat) you can use as a drop-in replacement.
• Developer Friendly: One click gets you the exact CSS @import and font-family rule.
• Private: Images are processed entirely in memory and immediately discarded. We don't store your uploads or use them for training.
